AFTER A DECADE IN PRISON...
two black Muslims and their white nationalist neighbor form an unlikely bond when they’re chosen to transform a rambunctious puppy into a highly-disciplined seeing eye dog. But their new friendship turns bittersweet when one of them is paroled and forced to put his new skills to work on the outside.
RAISERS uses Eli the puppy as a cuddly Trojan horse to explore prison life in modern day America, both inside and out. In a deeply-divided country, it’s also a funny and heartwarming story of unity and understanding in the most unexpected of places.
